Cargo Inspection

The cargo inspection serves for determining whether the customer informed the shipowner and/or Conference of the correct cargo and thus the correct rate was invoiced. Inspectors engaged by the Conference or another party, so-called inspection services, spot check the contents of individual containers and then check the manifest as to whether the goods indicated in the manifest are in the container. Background: The customer's statements can usually not be checked for FCL containers and therefore are directly taken over for the cargo manifest
