Coaming

Iron frame around the hatch opening on deck which forms a protective wall against the penetration of water

Collecting Shed

Harbour sheds where general cargo is collected and then placed by the respective seagoing vessel for loading. In Hamburg, e.g. the Overseas Centre fulfils this function
