Certificate of Obligation

1. Document whose handover equals the transfer of ownership of goods (e.g. B/L, shipping note, negotiable warehouse receipt). 2. Request for delivery of the goods listed in the B/L or the delivery note and, at the same time, a declaration by which the consignee undertakes to pay the quay handling fee to the operator. The cargo is not delivered if no certificate of obligation is issued

A certified document used in international commerce that shows the origin of goods

Certificate of Registry

1. Document valid for a limited period of time reflecting the law of the flag of the issuing country before registration is made. The certificate of registry is mainly used for test voyages and transfers. 2. Extract from the ship's register and owner's title of ownership . In Germany the certificate of registry entitles a ship to flying the Federal flag. An extract from the certificate of registry must be kept on board. It is colloquially called the IC of a ship
