D/PDocuments against Payment: payment term. The exporter entrusts the operation of collection to his bank. In doing so the bank is instructed to hand over certain documents to the importer against payment of the respective value. The importer must, in turn, contact his bank and pay the purchase price. This bank remits the amount to the exporter's bank and hands the documents over to the importer. The importer can then proceed to receive the goods |
