Dear Our Valued Customer
1. Purpose
- Prevention of Cargo Claim & Irregularity
2. Definition of Hot Cargo
- Allowable deviation between setting and actual temperature at the time of gate-in is:
▶ Chilled Cargo: +/-2.8˚C (5˚F)
▶ Frozen Cargo: +/-5.6˚C (10˚F)
※ After plugged in on the terminal, you may allow a certain time to falling a temperature of Reefer Container.
3. Request
If Temperature is deviated more than allowed,
▶ Request LOI from Shipper and following clause should be noted on LOI
"Actual temperature at receiving was ______ ˚C (or ˚F), and SML is not responsible for the cargo’s damage"
▶ If impossible to collect LOI from shipper, Should be received confirmation from shipper for cargo loading via message with following clause including "Confirm cargo loading in spite of temperature deviation"
4. Effective date
- Immediately
